Last year, after emergency surgery to relieve pressure from the tumor on her spine, Yasmin lost movement from the waist down. Since then, she has been undergoing intense chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and physiotherapy three times a week, trying to recover her mobility.

Yasmin is the daughter of Gisele Vieira Muller, someone I consider my sister. Gisele is facing unimaginable hardship: just last year, she lost her husband in a tragic surfing accident, leaving her to fight this battle for Yasmin largely on her own, while still caring for their 10 years old daughter. Today, she needs more external support than ever to continue her daughter’s treatment and recovery journey.
