Have you realized that my customer's all-time favorite set went down from 5 dollars to just 99 cents?

Here is why:

I hope everyone is doing ok! I am here because I want to share with you the story of my friend Luciana Angel:

She is one of the first people I met when I got into medical school, and one of the first people that helped me with learning Spanish (I am a Brazilian currently living & studying in Chile).

Luci was recently diagnosed with the "McCune-Albright Syndrome", a condition characterized to affect people's connective tissue like bones, skin, and cartilage, which will end up affecting their whole body structure. It also causes dysplasia, asymmetry on the growing bones, and also an abnormal alignment of the spine like scoliosis. In addition to that, people with this syndrome may present light brown patches distributed along the body, premature puberty, and I guess the worst part of the disease: it also affects the way the hormones work. Every single hormone that maintains your whole body connected and functioning, like those produced by the thyroid and parathyroid glands, starts functioning abnormally; or not functioning at all.

To summarize a little bit: this kiddo is a fighter and life's been really hard on her these days. She had to put the university aside for a little bit because of a recent bone lesion that forced her to get into urgent surgery, and there is not much we could do but help to spread the word about the disease in order to get more people to help her.

The health care system here has its gaps and during this crisis, she had to raise herself the money to get the care she needed to get through it! And I thought that the same platform that also helped me raising money for my cancer treatment is the same that might, somehow, be able to help her get the treatment she needs with dignity.

On behalf of her constant love and care for others, I am appealing to the hearts and kindness of my fellow customers to help her fight this and prove to her she is not alone! I have confidence and faith in the Gumroad and Procreate family. Never have we, as humans, needed so much humanity from one another like these days! It's been a tough year and I promise you, helping others is a very good way to make things a little more bearable :)
